UConn President met with Tech Park researchers last week expecting to “tickle a few neurons.” The packed agenda included 16 lightning presentations from center directors covering cybersecurity, weather prediction modeling, manufacturing, microscopy and more. According to Executive Director Pamir Alpay, “The president’s engagement was energizing. He asked probing questions and solicited feedback, opening up a broader discussion of how we as a university can successfully move forward. It is exciting to have a leader so receptive and focused on research and its wider implications.” VPR Radenka Maric added, “We were delighted to host our new president at Tech Park. We look forward to building on this foundation and collaborating with him on strategic research initiatives at UConn and across the state.”
