The UConn Talent Incubator gives industry partners an early opportunity to identify and engage promising UConn students through real-world research challenges. Designed for first-year UConn students, the program creates meaningful connections between industry needs and emerging talent.
How it works
Industry brings the challenge
Industry partners identify research questions or challenges aligned with their business needs.
Identifying the talent
Students go through competitive vetting and selection, with industry participation in the evaluation
Industry partners rank and match qualified students to their challenges based on research needs and interests.
Students get to work
Student teams spend the summer exploring their challenge and present findings at the end of the program.

Tech Park’s Talent Incubator connects Connecticut industries with emerging researchers while giving students early exposure to our state’s innovation ecosystem. Tech Park is seeking additional industry partners to bring new challenges, perspectives, and opportunities to the next generation of UConn talent.

Growing the Industry Network
The Talent Incubator launched in 2026 with its first group of industry partners, connecting companies with promising first-year UConn students around real-world challenges. Read more (link to UConn Today story, once it’s published)
